Paul Clarke
The Leaders Coach
Paul Clarke is a seasoned strategic adviser with over 25 years of experience in sports performance, business development & management. He understands the complexities of leadership, having lived through the same challenges that today’s (and tomorrow’s) leaders face. His mission is to help leaders lead without friction, drag or noise.
Whether you're a Sporting Director, Director of Sport, Athletic Director, Head coach, manager, or C-Suite sports executive our work together can transform the way you lead; from wrestling with daily tasks to mastering them with confidence as you build, and leave, your Legacy.
Paul’s approach is rooted in the belief that many leaders feel ‘stuck’, as though there’s a blockage preventing them from reaching their full potential. He refers to this as having “a golf ball stuck in your garden hose,” where adding more effort doesn’t always equate to better results. Instead, leaders find themselves spinning their wheels, trying to push through, without resolving the core issues holding them back.
That’s where Paul helps. He’s a trusted, independent ally who provides honest, meaningful advice - insights that others might not offer. His focus on Legacy Leadership is not about quick fixes or packaged programs. Instead, he focuses on creating the conditions that will foster long-term, sustainable growth. Paul believes that progress & success comes from daily conscious efforts that build sustainable habits over time.
Using his LUDO principle—Listen, Understand, Diagnose, and Offer guidance, Paul helps sports leaders gain Alternative Insights (A.I.) into their performance.
Through his Legacy Leadership process, he works with clients on the 6C Principles of Legacy Leadership: Capability, Character, Competence, Care, Choices….all driven by a clear Cause This process helps leaders identify the root(s) of their challenges, confront the truth, and craft tailored solutions to enhance their performance.
Paul has made mistakes in his own career and learned the hard way that facing challenges alone can negatively impact both professional and personal life.
His biggest lesson? Don’t struggle in isolation. Having a guide & ally by your side is the difference that makes all the difference as you seek to be the difference.
